Is it normal that a band that ended on 1970 still gets radio airplay and frequent references in the social media almost every day here in Europe? This is a very personal and somewhat infomal logbook of some of these references to The Beatles as a proof of their everlasting relevance and continuing influence over the years. As if they needed. Also includes highlights of promotions and some additional info on the band. Mainly in Portuguese (sorry guys).

2014: Paul McCartney Shares Version of 'Beware My Love' With John Bonham on Drums
Quoting:
"During a live chat on Twitter earlier today, Paul McCartney shared a previously unreleased version of the 1976 song 'Beware My Love' featuring John Bonham on drums. The song comes from the upcoming expanded reissue of the No. 1 Wings album 'Wings at the Speed of Sound.'
'Beware My Love' was one of the few true rock songs on an album filled with lighter pop tunes, like the hits 'Let 'Em In' and 'Silly Love Songs.' The original version runs six and a half minutes and includes Wings drummer Joe English on the kit. The previously unreleased take is a minute shorter and, more importantly, features the Led Zeppelin wild man."

The story of the Rock'n"roll album...
“So there was no way you could get them. So that album was stopped in the middle for a year, and we had to sue through Capitol to get them back off him.” It put the singer over the edge and he abandoned his sessions with Spector in favour of working on his own on the East Coast.
Returning to New York alongside May Pang, Lennon became distracted by the covers album and instead wrote and recorded Walls and Bridges. It could have been some light relief for Lennon but soon enough, his adversary Morris Levy was back again with a brand new lawsuit, this time threatening to take Lennon to court unless he delivered the record he had seemingly reneged on. Lennon even used 11-year-old Julian Lennon to make a slight jibe at Levy in the final moment of Walls and Bridges."

2021-02: Ring O and Ringo?
"Sir Ringo Starr, it has been uncovered, is currently opposing the trademark of the name Ring O for a sexual aid.
Pacific Coast Holdings IP, LLC, the parent company of Screaming O, have put forward their desire to trademark the name Ring O for a vibrating penis ring, which they have marketed under that name since 2008.
They accused Sir Ringo of being a ‘trademark squatter’ as he attempted to oppose their trademark, as well as suggesting their customers would not be of the generation to connect the item with the Beatle.
Sir Ringo’s legal team, in contrast, claim Pacific Coast Holdings broke their agreement, which allowed them to use the name so long as they never attempted to trademark it."

George Harrison prank on Phil Collins
A while later, Stewart calls Collins and puts Harrison on the line. "'Did you get the tape?' Harrison asked. "I now realize I was fired by a Beatle," Collins sighed. The two changed the subject, but a few minutes later, Harrison couldn't stop laughing.
"Don't worry, it was a piss-take. I got Ray Cooper to play really badly and we dubbed it on," Harrison admitted. "Thought you'd like it!" So, Harrison had an entire recording session with a conga player who he asked to play poorly, just to pull one over on Collins."
