Is it normal that a band that ended on 1970 still gets radio airplay and frequent references in the social media almost every day here in Europe? This is a very personal and somewhat infomal logbook of some of these references to The Beatles as a proof of their everlasting relevance and continuing influence over the years. As if they needed. Also includes highlights of promotions and some additional info on the band. Mainly in Portuguese (sorry guys).

Citando:
"Britain supported Nigeria as did the US, USSR, Canada, Israel (until 1968) and several other states in Africa, Asia and Europe.
Biafra was supported by France, China, West Germany, Israel (after 1968), Portugal, Spain, the Vatican, South Africa and Rhodesia amongst others.
The conflict ended in 1970 with a Nigerian victory.
A blockade resulted in the deaths of 2 million civilians to famine and some sources estimate 4.5 million people were displaced."

“We got a plane to New York, and you don’t know what you can do.
“We went to the apartment. ‘Anything we can do?’”
Starr added: “And Yoko just said, ‘Well, you just play with Sean. Keep Sean busy.’
“And that’s what we did. That’s what you think: ‘What do you do now?’
Barry Miles, McCartney’s friend since 1965, said: “The songwriting relationship and friendship was so deep that it transcended any bickering over money or management."
https://www.express.co.uk/celebrity-news/1201972/beatles-news-john-lennon-paul-mccartney-openly-detested-ob-la-di-ob-la-da-spt
Citando:
"Lennon reportedly dubbed McCartney’s song as “more of Paul’s granny music”.
Modern Scientists on the other hand have recently analysed the song and agreed it is close to being the perfect pop song, along with two others: Invisible Touchy by Genesis and Hooked on a Feeling by BJ Thomas.
However, Lennon was also angered by his former bandmate’s song ‘Too Many People’. Reportedly, Lennon thought it was a dig at him and his wife, Yoko Ono.
It is well known that his wife was a controversial figure, and some thought the lyric – “That was your first mistake, you took your lucky break and broke it in two” – was McCartney’s way of reflecting that."
https://blitz.pt/principal/update/2019-11-09-A-ciencia-descobriu-a-cancao-pop-perfeita.-E-dos-Beatles
Citando:
