Is it normal that a band that ended on 1970 still gets radio airplay and frequent references in the social media almost every day here in Europe? This is a very personal and somewhat infomal logbook of some of these references to The Beatles as a proof of their everlasting relevance and continuing influence over the years. As if they needed. Also includes highlights of promotions and some additional info on the band. Mainly in Portuguese (sorry guys).

2019-08: Drake e a tatuagem de Abbey Road
https://lifestyle.sapo.pt/fama/noticias-fama/artigos/fas-consideram-nova-tatuagem-de-drake-uma-ofensa-aos-beatles
Citando:
"Para além disso, um dos motivos que mais está a deixar os fãs irritados é porque se pensa que a tatuagem está associada à mais recente conquista de Drake: um recorde do número de canções que chegaram ao top 10 da Billboard Hot 100. Enquanto que o rapper conseguiu 35, os Beatles ficaram-se pelas 34 músicas."

2018-10: Drake bate record dos Beatles (Billboard)
https://mag.sapo.pt/showbiz/artigos/drake-bate-recorde-que-pertencia-aos-beatles
Citando:
"O tema "MIA", em parceira com Bad Bunny, foi o responsável por dar o novo recorde a Drake. A canção foi a 12ª do rapper a chegar ao top 10 da principal lista da Billboard.
Até esta semana, o recorde pertencia aos Beatles que, em 1964, conseguiram colocar 11 canções nos primeiros lugares do Hot 100."

2018-05-09: Record de Beatles batido por Post Malone

Citando:
"Rapper smashes record for the most simultaneous top 20 in the Hot 100
Post Malone has broken a US chart record previously co-held by The Beatles.
In a two-star review, NME‘s Larry Bartleet described the 22-year-old’s second album ‘Beerbongs & Bentleys’ as “directionless”, arguing that it made “the rockstar lifestyle sound beige”.
After beating Anne-Marie and Blossoms to number one in the UK, Post Malone has now claimed his first US number one, shifting 461,000 equivalent album units.
He has also broken the record for the most simultaneous top 20 in the Hot 100. The star has nine songs in the top 20 this week, breaking The Beatles and J Cole‘s previous record of six. Post Malone has also broken the record for the most simultaneous top 40 tracks with 14 songs in the chart this week."

Citando:
"In yet another confirmation that you’re getting old, pop superstar Rihanna has hit a landmark: She has now landed 30 songs in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart, a feat achieved only by the Beatles and Madonna.
She charted her 30th hit this week when “Love on the Brain” crossed the threshold to land at No. 8. It’s the fourth top-10 track from Rihanna’s most recent album, “Anti,” and its success breaks her tie with Michael Jackson, who earned 29 top-10 hits."
