The copy of John Lennon and Yoko Ono‘s 1980 album Double Fantasy that Lennon autographed for his assassin just hours before being murdered is being sold by its current owner, with the exchange being brokered by Moments in Time, the same agency that handled its previous sale. According to the New York Daily News, the asking price is $1.5 million.

“It’s the most incredible artifact in rock ‘n’ roll history. There’s no question,” Moments in Time owner Gary Ziamet told the paper. “I am delighted to have the opportunity to sell it once again.”

Discovered behind a planter box after Lennon’s murder and used as a key piece of evidence in the trial, the copy of the album includes police reports and the killer’s “forensically enhanced fingerprints” as well as Lennon’s autograph.
