Is it normal that a band that ended on 1970 still gets radio airplay and frequent references in the social media almost every day here in Europe? This is a very personal and somewhat infomal logbook of some of these references to The Beatles as a proof of their everlasting relevance and continuing influence over the years. As if they needed. Also includes highlights of promotions and some additional info on the band. Mainly in Portuguese (sorry guys).

2017-04-14: A história de "In Spite of All Danger"
Uma canção McCartney-Harrison (autoria que nunca se iria repetir mais) e que pode ser ouvida no Anthology 1:

"Today, critics often dismiss “In Spite of All the Danger,” with Unterberger calling it “not that much” and “a routine doo wop-like early rock ‘n’ roll ballad.” In his review of Anthology 1, Mojo‘s Mat Snow writes that the song “gives no inkling of the band who would cut ‘Love Me Do’, never mind ‘A Day In The Life.'”
Clearly, McCartney retains affection for the track: He occasionally performs it livein concert, particularly during his 2005 world tour and the television special Chaos and Creation at Abbey Road.
Just four years after the primitive recording of “In Spite of All the Danger,” the renamed Beatles would record “Love Me Do” at Abbey Road Studios and launch their career. Their artistic growth developed rapidly, and this 1958 song is a baby step in their journey."

"Now Peter has scoured another You Tube film – Liverpool Trams: Green Goddesses Remembered, by Online Videos – and he said: “This is my finest find yet... absolute gold!
“It is circa 1955 and at one point a tram is seen heading down East Prescot Road, from Old Swan towards Page Moss, where Paul’s Aunty Jin and Uncle Harry lived.
“He is only on screen for a second but, comparing him with old pictures, I am 100% convinced that is Paul sitting at the window, at 29 minutes and 25 seconds into the film. And is that his late mother, Mary, sitting behind him? It looks like her.”"

""The McCartneys’ then home, in Forthlin Road, backed onto the police training centre – and the centre’s annual summer show is featured on the film.
“You can see four or five people in the distance watching the action from on top of the concrete shed in the back garden of 20 Forthlin Road, where Paul and Mike lived.”
In the biography, Paul McCartney: Many Years From Now, Barry Miles writes: “The back of the house overlooked the grounds of the Police Training College, headquarters of the Liverpool Mounted Police."
