2014-09-01: Beatles em Mono na Uncut de Outubro 2014

Beatles na capa da Uncut de Outubro 2014 (Nick Drake; chamada no canto superior direito) e artigo de 3 páginas sobre os vinis dos Beatles em Mono.

A novidade aqui (e a diferença dos remasters de 2009) é que a transferência para vinil foi feita essencialmente a partir das fitas analógicas originais (houve um acidente com a cola dos masters do "Please, Please Me", ver artigo) sem qualquer equipamento digital o que evita as perdas inerentes a estas conversões. Esta transferência é mais fácil de ser feita em mono motivo pelo qual estes vinis apenas serão editados neste formato (reproduzir o que foi feito ao nível da mistura stereo é muito mais difícil de ser feito).
Isto não é propriamente um drama porque a mistura que interessava nos anos 60 era a mono: A mistura stereo (quando feita mais para o final dos anos 60) era por vezes feita semanas depois do disco sair.

Curiosidade final: Nestas misturas o "Helter Skelter" não tem a parte final do Ringo: "I've got blisters on my fingers!". A revista traz ainda um artigo interessante sobre os Queen e a review do novo álbum do Robert Plant.
