2020-10: Yes e a versão de Imagine?

Os Yes (cujo baterista desde o álbum Tales from Topographic Oceans é o Alan White (que entrou na Plastic Ono Band em 1969 e esteve até 1972 por lá) tocaram uma versão de Imagine numa tournée recente. Que agora editam (vídeo no link seguinte):

O que acham? É tão má como a versão de America dos S&G que fizeram ainda nos anos 60? *Má = "Diferente"...

Mais má língua passa por dizer que o Alan White já não toca bateria hoje em dia. Infelizmente. Só "toca"... Com um baterista ao lado. Os bateristas resistem mal ao tempo, e não podem cantar como o Phil Collins sentado. Instrumentos fisicamente exigentes.

A entrevista em si é muito interessante (trata-se de um dos maiores génios da guitarra com 17 álbuns a solo - para além dos que editou com os Yes e os Asia).

Antena 1 passou o AILH e AHDN dos Beatles (Album "A Hard Day's Night") pelas 16:50 seguido do "Roundabout" dos Yes (Álbum "Fragile").

2014-11-23: Programa na Antena 1 com 2 músicas do AHDN

O programa de ontem da Antena 1 (De Costa a Costa) repetiu passando de novo o "And I love Her" e o "A Hard Day's Night".

Neste programa passaram também Pink Floyd (Louder Than Words - 2014, Us and Them - 1973), Led Zeppelin (No Quarter  - 1973), Doors (People Are Strange - 1967) e 1 dos Rolling Stones e Yes (Roundabout - 1971). Uma primeira parte de luxo de facto.

2014-09-06: Referência a GH na Guitar World de Outubro

A Guitar World de Outubro traz um referência ao George Harrison na entrevista ao Steve Howe, guitarrista dos Yes (novo álbum em 2014, "Heaven and Earth"): "Em 1969 eu estava a fazer as primeiras partes do Delaney&Bonnie como guitarrista do P. P. Arnold. Tanto o Eric Clapton e o George Harrison estavam a tocar com o Delaney&Bonnie e ambos usavam um amplificador Dual Showmen. Quando entrei para os Yes um ano depois uma das primeiras coisas que fiz comprar um também para mim".
E usou-o com uma Gibson ES-5 Switchmaster para o "Fragile".
