Is it normal that a band that ended on 1970 still gets radio airplay and frequent references in the social media almost every day here in Europe? This is a very personal and somewhat infomal logbook of some of these references to The Beatles as a proof of their everlasting relevance and continuing influence over the years. As if they needed. Also includes highlights of promotions and some additional info on the band. Mainly in Portuguese (sorry guys).

Citando:
"The cinema was designed by renowned architect and Liverpool City Council leader Sir Alfred Ernest Shennan and opened in 1939.
Harrison and Lennon, who lived nearby, visited as teenagers and it featured in both The Beatles' personal writings and the original lyrics of the band's 1966 song In My Life.
It closed in 1979 and was later used as a bingo hall, snooker club and, most recently, a supermarket."
2021-04: Phil Collins acerca de Ringo Starr

Citando:
"Easily considered one of rock’s greatest percussionists, here’s what Collins – who can be counted on for his brutal honesty – had to say about former Beatle Ringo Starr as a drummer. Collins, already an avid percussionist, saw Starr’s drum set in the auditorium of London’s Scala Theatre that day and knew right away who would be on the stage: “I am privy to some insider’s intel: I would recognize Ringo Starr’s Ludwig drum kit anywhere. But I wouldn’t have guessed that The Beatles were making a film. I can’t believe my luck.”"

Quoting:
"Rock stars including Paul McCartney, Kate Bush, Robert Plant and Stevie Nicks have called on the government to reform the way musicians are paid when their songs are streamed online.
More than 150 artists have written to Prime Minister Boris Johnson calling for new legislation to protect artists.
They point out that "songwriters earn 50% of radio revenues, but only 15% in streaming".
The government has yet to respond."
