Post Malone has broken a US chart record previously co-held by The Beatles.
In a two-star review, NME‘s Larry Bartleet described the 22-year-old’s second album ‘Beerbongs & Bentleys’ as “directionless”, arguing that it made “the rockstar lifestyle sound beige”.
After beating Anne-Marie and Blossoms to number one in the UK, Post Malone has now claimed his first US number one, shifting 461,000 equivalent album units.
He has also broken the record for the most simultaneous top 20 in the Hot 100. The star has nine songs in the top 20 this week, breaking The Beatles and J Cole‘s previous record of six. Post Malone has also broken the record for the most simultaneous top 40 tracks with 14 songs in the chart this week."
